THE KING ARTHUR
The Dragon Clan Ltd, have been trading at The King Arthur since November 2012 and have been constantly upgrading the pub, developing it into one one the most unique and leading event and music venues Wessex, with The Great Hall hosting numerous concerts, functions and dances.
With a strong hint of Glastonbury and The Arthurian Mythos, shown by many pre raphaelite prints hanging everywhere, as well as maps of The Glastonbury Zodiac and an original oil painting of Arthur/Sagittarius (Osmund Caine), The KIng Arthur has become a tourist destination for numerous visitors to Glastonbury, who are looking for an interesting “Avalon”experience.
The King Arthur is also proud of its selection of well kept real ales and ciders and is now beginning to concentrate on offering excellent food as well as providing the finest Beer Garden in Glastonbury, which contains the famous King Arthur (St Benedict’s) Sacred Well and Fire Pit.

David, originally from Leigh on Sea Essex, has lived in Somerset since 1989.
He is responsible for much of the general administration of The KIng Arthur and is also mainly responsible for booking the music. Famous double bassist, manager of Changing World Music and author of The Glastonbury Grail.
His other interests are The Arthurian Mythos, The Glastonbury Zodiac and The Holy Grail.
Sandi has worked most of her life in Set Design., having left art School in 1980, she worked as a designer, scenic artist and prop maker at the Old Vic and National Theatre in London.., later moving on to design/styling in TV , Film and Corporate Live Events.
With an interest in music she designed sets for the Spinal Tap film “Break Like The Wind” worked on The Great Rock n Roll Swindle with Julian Temple/Sex Pistols and many music videos for The Euythmics and Dire Straits, to name but a few.
Sandi moved on to design for Corporate Live Events in the early 2000’s. She moved to Glastonbury in 2009 to escape the rat race of London, and has embraced the life here, taking on directorship of the The King Arthur in 2013 with her friends David and Susan Hatfield and her son Beau Wicks. She is a mother of three grown up children and has interests in mural painting Astrology, music and geo politics.
Susan is the partner of David, and has lived in Somerset all her life, she even attended the first Glastonbury Festival! Susan has been trading Music at festivals since 1990. She is also a keen Gardener and has been one of the main forces behind re-creating The King Arthurs’ Beer Garden. She is often around in the Arthur providing invaluable help on busy nights.
